🚨 IMPORTANT FRAUD ALERT: PLEASE BE AWARE! 🚨
At Ouachita Valley Federal Credit Union, protecting our members and their financial information is a top priority.
We have recently been made aware of a scam circulating in our area in which individuals are impersonating Ouachita Valley employees and attempting to obtain members' online banking information.
In some reported instances, scammers have:
⚠️ Contacted members requesting their online banking usernames, passwords, or other sensitive information.
⚠️ Claimed that the FBI or other law enforcement agencies are involved and that someone will be present at a local Ouachita Valley branch to process a transaction.
⚠️ Sent fraudulent emails appearing to come from Ouachita Valley, using employee names that are not associated with our credit union.
PLEASE REMEMBER:
🔹 Ouachita Valley will NEVER ask you to provide your online banking username, password, or other sensitive login information through a phone call, text message, or email.
🔹 We will NEVER use threats or claims of law enforcement involvement to pressure you into sharing your personal or financial information.
🔹 Although we do communicate with members through text messages, we will NEVER ask you to respond with sensitive account information or online banking credentials.
If you receive a suspicious call, text, or email, DO NOT provide any information, click suspicious links, or follow instructions from the sender. Instead, contact Ouachita Valley directly using a phone number you know and trust.
We encourage our members to share this reminder with family members, friends, and loved ones, especially those who may be more vulnerable to fraudulent activity.
